Core people from original Napster are teaming up with showbiz professionals to create new paradigm for the music community. You will be building web front and back-end for music industry Web 2.0 application, work closely with creative, product team and other engineers, turning functional specifications into the state-of-the-art consumer application, participate in creative, user interaction and technical design for the system. Degrees and years of experience are not required. Proven ability to build elegant, innovative and scalable applications is. Need to demonstrate progressive experience in ruby on rails development from requirements to deployment of production application, proficiency in the use of off-the-shelf rails components and solutions for custom ruby rails development; ability to turn napkin diagrams and prototypes of interactions into great-looking, easy-to-use, simple, reusable and robust application components.
